She was felicitated by the guardian minister of Pune District Hon. Shri. Ajit Pawar during the Ceremonial Parade held at Shivajinagar Head Quarter Pune on 1st May 2008 i.e. on Maharashtra day.

Successful detection of the case of Diamond Theft Worth Rs. 11
crores by means of chance prints found in Mumbai

FACTS OF THE CASE :-

On 15/10/2007 unknown culprit stolen diamond worth Rs. 11 crores by making entry in the shop at room No. 541, 5 th floor, pancharatna Building. Opera House, Mumbai through duplicate key & breaking wooden drawer of the table. The Crime was registered as such Investigation Officer started the Investigation.

While observing the facts minutely at the scene of crime, Investigation team arrived to the conclusion that accuse involved in the Crime is familiar with the spot, as such Police Station Officer obtained the finger impression slips of all ten servants of aforesaid Diamond shop.

Shri. S.B. Pharkute, Finger Print Expert from Finger Print Bureau, Mumbai visited the scene of crime as his services were requisitioned for collecting Scientific Evidence on 16/10/2007 at 8.10 p.m. He examined all the suspected articles which could been handle by Culprit and succeeded in developing four chance prints, one on the glass of door , two on the wooden door and one on the wooden table. Simultaneously Police photographer obtained the photographs of the Chance prints

On receipt of the photocopies of chance prints Shri Pharkute scrutinised all chance prints, one chance print was found fit for comparison remaining three found unfit for comparison After careful examination , one chance print was found Identical with theft thumb print on the Finger Impression slip of the accussed.

The comparison result of one chance print was communication to the concerned Investigation officer on 5/11/2007 consequently accusssed confessed and admitted the Crime.

Thus involvement in the crime of accused was proved by the Scientific evidence beyond the reasonable doubt.
